Preparation
This course focuses on improving the English language abilities of teachers and administrators and on Teaching English as a Modern Foreign Language. However, teachers of other subjects are welcome as they might consider speaking English as advantageous for furthering their career or for teaching their chosen subject in English.

Objectives
· The course gives participants the opportunity to improve their command of English in their particular fields.
· The ability to utilise 21st Century Skills in the classroom.
· Gain new innovative ideas for Teaching English as a Foreign Language or for vocational purposes.
· To consider Content and Language Integrated Learning methodology and to acquire expertise and fresh ideas for teaching their subject in English.
· To acquire a range of new ideas, practical classroom skills and materials for teaching English.
· An opportunity to exchange ideas and develop links with teachers from other European countries.
· Provide teachers with an insight into Czech culture in the historical city of Prague.

Methodology
This course is structured into 16 training modules each of which focuses upon a particular skill in 21st Century methodology in respect of teaching in English. Emphasis will be on motivating participants through a variety of innovative activities which engage their imaginations and creativity in order to apply the same methods in their own classrooms.
Plenty of practical ideas will be demonstrated and considered and teachers will be encouraged to participate in discussions, debates, role play, and use the four skills of
speaking, listening, reading and writing. The course will cover innovative methods as well as practicing grammar application during topic or theme based lessons and how to productively cover the language focus. Essential grammar will also be covered with comprehensive notes for participants.

Follow-up
Participants will complete a workbook either for their personal reference or related tasks and lesson plans appropriate to their classroom/students’ requirements which they can update on their return home. A course manual will be provided. A mailing list of participants will be created in order to exchange ideas/experiences.
